The Power of Trees

I have always been fascinated by the way that trees avoid power lines. They do it so gracefully too. Look at how this tree just weaves around the power line as if it isn't there. Its beauty intact and growth uninterrupted. . . Power lines generate an electromagnetic field that some consider potentially dangerous to humans. According to Treehugger.com humans can actually display symptoms of electro-hypersensitivity. These symptoms include nausea, headaches, chronic fatigue, and pain to name a few. It all sounds a bit like pseudoscience, but nature doesn't lie. I'm of the belief "where there is smoke there is fire." But I am not a scientist and I am not here to discuss the science behind power lines. I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on how nature cues us to respond to negativity.
There are probably thousands of books, videos, etc that talk about how to remove negativity from your space. There are even gurus, sages, and life coaches working diligently to help you navigate it. And there are probably just as many spells, rituals, candles and incense that claim to help you do the same. All of these things probably do work. However, I feel it my duty to draw your attention to the things that we have been given freely to help navigate life. I can't imagine that it is very easy for that tree to contribute to the environment sufficiently with this power line all in its face. I mean, they provide oxygen, improve the quality of our air, preserve soil, support wildlife, and conserve water just to name a few. Trees play a huge role in our daily lives, and I'm sure that on some level it knows it. And that's why it continues to do its job no matter the obstacle.
I feel our lives often mimic this dynamic. We are surrounded by what we deem to be negativity all of the time. Some times we are the cause and other times we are the effect of this phenomenon. We need to learn how to mirror nature and go around the obstacle instead of succumbing it. This is what the tree tells us. All we need to do is be our best, brightest selves no matter what is attempting to get or in our way.
